Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance

IR’s Tribe Behaviours underpin our Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) strategy and our commitment to our colleagues and the communities in which we operate.

We understand our responsibilities as a corporate citizen and are focused on developing ESG programs and initiatives that are sustainable, have real impact, and align with our purpose, to Create Great when it Matters Most.

Environmental

IR supports environmental sustainability by:

  • Choosing office locations around the globe with high NABERS (or equivalent) ratings.

  • Recycling in all buildings (softplastic, organic waste, cardboard, plastic).

  • Participating in programs to measure environmental performance in relation to energy use, waste, and recycling.

  • Developing products that support online collaboration, reducing the need for travel and helping others lower their carbon footprint.

Social

Our communities and our people are critically important to us. We take our responsibility to them seriously and have a range of programs and initiatives in place to support them. We focus on three key areas: Community, Employee Wellbeing, and Employee Development.

Community

  • Take 2 Volunteering Program – employees are entitled to 2 paid volunteering days every year to help out their local communities.

  • Fundraising – we encourage our Tribe to participate in a range fundraising activities and we provide donation matching for key causes impacting our team members. Some past causes include Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and the Australian bushfire relief.

  • Social Initiatives – hold activities to promote various causes that raise awareness of issues that are important to our employees and communities, such as R U OK Day, International Women’s Day, and Women in Tech.

Employee Wellbeing

  • Covid support

  • Culture improvement initiatives

  • Flexible work arrangements

  • Free sessions on health, resilience and mindfulness

  • Diversity and Inclusion program

Employee Development

  • Career framework

  • Emerging talent program

  • Mentorship program

  • Workforce behaviour training

  • Company wide access to training

  • Benchmarking females in management and internal promotions

Corporate Governance

At IR, how we do business is as important as what we do. Our commitment to integrity, ethical practices, and conducting our business with respect is key to how we operate.

We have checks and balances in place to ensure accountability and compliance at all levels.
