Benchmarking VoIP performance management
|
The Aberdeen Group surveyed 159 organizations to identify best practices for managing IP telephony. Based on the results, the report establishes key performance criteria to differentiate Best-in-Class organizations and examines in detail their strategies for managing VoIP.
The report finds overall that organizations experiencing Best-in-Class performance are those using specialist tools to monitor their IP telephony deployment. In addition to outlining how organizations use these tools, the report provides an in-depth analysis of the impact these strategies have on the delivery of VoIP as a service.
The report also provides a path to success for organizations looking to improve their effectiveness in managing VoIP performance, the first step being the implementation of tools for troubleshooting call failures. Suggestions are also provided for Best-in-Class organizations to further improve IP telephony performance, highlighting in particular the measurement of VoIP performance in real time.
