Community Guidelines

Run with the pack: Connect, share, and learn with other Prognosis users and experts

Last updated: September 30, 2017.

Welcome to the Prognosis Community

We’re excited to have you in the Prognosis pack. This is a community that exists for users of our Services to help each other get the most benefit from using Prognosis. These Community Guidelines will help us all, so we appreciate your adherence. Your participation here is subject to these Community Guidelines and our Terms of Service.

These Community Guidelines are important, and will be enforced by IR moderators. They are also a work in progress, and may evolve as the Community grows. Finally, they are not exhaustive, so please act in good faith and follow the spirit of the Community Guidelines at all times. If you have any questions please contact us at community@ir.com.

What to do in the Community:

Play nice

We’re all in this together, so no matter what personal, professional, or political beliefs you hold, be committed to treating each other with kindness and respect. We’re an assembly of many types of people, who all have the right to feel comfortable. Offer honest help, thank people for useful posts, and be patient with others (some of us are not as technical as others)!

Search first
Quite possibly the subject of your interest has already been covered, so search first. If you find what you need, it will save others the effort. If you don’t find exactly what you’re after, you may still learn something during your search. Of course, if you don’t get what you need, feel free to post a question.

Contribute
Our community is nothing without the people who bring it to life! If you have something interesting or new to add, share it. Don’t just pass through; bring value by adding in your voice and expertise, and earn badges and status while you’re at it.

Share your own content
Respect the copyright, works and contributions of others. This means don’t take words, designs, ideas or images of others without appropriate attribution and please don’t pass them off as your own.

Respect privacy
Make sure your contributions don't violate the IR Prognosis Privacy Policy.

What not to do in the Community:

Keep it clean

Most people use this community from work. If it’s NSFW, it won’t fly here.

Don’t be a spammer
Nigerian prince you say? No one likes spam, so no, we don’t want to join a get-rich-quick scheme. Don’t push your services or products here. Messages with the explicit intent to sell a product or service will be removed at the discretion of our moderators.

No phishing
Don’t link users to a form to collect emails on your site.

Trolls and haters not welcome
If you’re deliberately trying to offend, bully, or provoke someone, our moderators will step in. It’s okay to disagree, we just ask that you keep it amicable. Be respectful.

Abuse management

If IR staff decide that your behavior violates the spirit of these community Community Guidelines, we may remove your content or disable your use of the Community at any time, with or without notice.  Though we will actively moderate the Community, you may see objectionable content before it is taken down. Please report any problematic behavior or content by reporting the post through the flag function.

IR support

The Prognosis Community is a great place to get support. While IR employees will participate, they are not always the primary responders. They will help provide an answer to a question only if the community cannot provide an answer within a certain time frame after the question is initially posted.  For any unresolved issues, our support staff will either create a traditional support ticket or reach out via private message.
