Payments Technical Engineer

Job description

IR Payments Technical Engineer is an exciting and challenging role within the organization, providing client/partner product discovery and credibility. This includes being responsible for installation, product configuration and enabling and building ‘out of the box’ solutions or customization to meet specific customer requirements.

Based in our Uxbridge office just outside London, and reporting to the Technical Services Manager Europe, the role works alongside Account Managers on all technical aspects and of the sale from presentations, proof of concepts and RFP’s all the way through to closure and beyond with technical support.

In this role you will be:

  • Working side by side with Sales Account Manager providing technical support and product creditability with existing and new customers.
  • Analysis, workshop discovery and documentation of client requirements for monitoring of HP Nonstop servers, Distributed Systems and Payments monitoring solutions.
  • Installation and configuration of monitoring solutions.
  • Planning and Managing the technical evaluations and product proof of concepts.
  • Managing the technical aspects of the sales cycle for all Prognosis for Payments opportunities.
  • Providing product training and technical assistance to the partners and distributors.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you must possess:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Payments industry working on/with one of IR’s key strategic Payments products.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a PreSales role and working to sales targets.
  • Experience of working with Prognosis or another similar Performance Management tool.
  • Installing & administering performance management / monitoring tools.
  • Administering / interacting with Payments Systems such as BASE24, BASE24-eps, Connex, Postilion, MTS and PRM.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with people from different cultures and diversity.
  • Present professionally to customers as IR’s advocate.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational capability.
